Show Notes

Sometimes Jesus doesn’t step in to change our situation — because He’s changing us through it.

Read my latest blog, “Jesus Doesn’t Intervene,” and be reminded that His silence never means His absence.

[00:00:00] Hello, everyone. [00:00:02] I have recently written a piece. If you get to read it, we'll share it in the comments section later. But if you get to read it, don't scroll past it because it looks like one of those things that you just don't want to be hearing right now. [00:00:22] The heading is Jesus doesn't always intervene. [00:00:25] And the whole idea of that is if we look at Job's life and we look at Simon Peter, you know, there are verses of scripture where Jesus says, simon, Simon, Satan is asked to sift you. [00:00:41] In Job, he says that Satan is testing you. [00:00:47] And sometimes we think that when we are with Jesus, we are fireproof away from Satan, which is not the truth. Right? So there are many trials and tribulations, as James says, and the testing of it, the testing of our faith and the testing of ourselves when we go through it, it produces perseverance and character. And in that character, at the end, in that character, I mean, that's what Jesus is looking for, is the character that we could go through all of these things and still choose him and still have an attitude of gratitude, still get on our knees and pray and say, lord, you know, I've been sifted. I've been tested. I went through the fire, but there was a fourth man, and you were protecting me. [00:01:41] So my prayers for you as you read through that blog is to really realize that, yes, yes, I am. It's unfortunate that I have to tell you this morning that you will go through those trials and tribulations. [00:01:55] Don't shut yourself out. Don't shut Jesus out. Don't go through them alone. [00:01:59] We were not made to be in the desert. We were not meant to camp out there. [00:02:03] And it can get very long and lonely. And in the end, there is only one way for us to get through it. And it's on our knees and it's with Jesus in our corners. So make sure that whenever you hit trials and tribulations, whenever you hit those. Those situations where you feel that you've been sifting and you've been put through the fire, that you are, that you are, that you've aligned yourself with Christ, it's the only way that we can do it. It's the only way that character builds, and it's the only way that we will get that big crown of righteousness. Bless you.
